Meridian, ID – (February 24, 2014) – United Dairymen of Idaho welcomes Jaclyn Slonaker, MS, RDN, LD as a Health and Wellness Manager for the Idaho Dairy Council. Slonaker will be involved in material development, program strategy, community outreach and communicating science-based nutrition education to educators, health professionals, scientists, media and consumers.
“The expansion of the Health and Wellness team at Idaho Dairy Council strengthens our ability to meet the needs of our customers and build awareness about Idaho’s growing dairy industry,” noted Karianne Fallow, CEO of United Dairymen of Idaho. “We are excited to have Jaclyn on our team. Her passion for nutrition and enthusiasm for the dairy industry will be advantageous to meeting our objective of delivering credible health and nutrition information to Idahoans across the state.”
In addition to working for Idaho Dairy Council, Slonaker also works with the St. Luke’s Health Care System as a registered dietitian including outpatient services. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and received the National Restaurant Association ServSafe Certification.
Slonaker received a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from Central Washington University. She also received a Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Human Sciences from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. She is registered as a dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed as a dietitian with the Idaho State Board of Medicine.
